At 1924 Outfitters, we’ve always been about blending tradition with a modern edge. Our latest project takes this philosophy to a whole new level, drawing inspiration from one of the most recognizable images in rock history and giving it a fresh, uniquely American twist.
Iron Maiden’s legendary mascot, Eddie, has been a symbol of rebellious spirit and unapologetic grit for decades. “The Trooper” image, in particular, has become an iconic representation of strength and determination in the face of adversity. We thought, what better way to honor that legacy than by reimagining Eddie as a U.S. Border Patrol agent – a modern-day warrior standing at the front lines of America’s borders?
In our upcoming drop, Eddie has traded in his British uniform for Border Patrol gear, complete with the familiar green uniform and a Glock 9mm in hand. Draped behind him is not the Union Jack, but the stars and stripes of the American flag, representing our commitment to the country and the mission of those who protect it. This design brings a powerful new narrative to the table – one of vigilance, duty, and dedication to defending freedom.
The Design Details
The shirt will also feature the 1924 Outfitters logo on the left shoulder, a subtle nod to our brand's roots and our commitment to quality. On the right shoulder, we may have the thin green line flag, honoring the brave men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol who put everything on the line every day (but we are not 100% certain on this yet). This combination of iconic imagery, thoughtful design elements, and bold messaging makes this drop something truly special.
The Proof of Concept
We’re currently in the final stages of testing the proof of concept in the lab this weekend. We’re putting every detail under scrutiny – from the precision of the artwork to the quality of the print and the feel of the fabric. The goal is to deliver a product that not only looks amazing but also stands up to the rigors of daily wear.

If all goes well in testing, we’ll be sharing images of the test product and opening up pre-orders for what will be our second official drop from 1924 Outfitters.
